In 2026, the cost of CDL training depends on the program you choose. Our CDL Class A Proficiency Program is $5,582, while our CDL Class A Hot Shot Proficiency Program is $4,347. We also offer company contract training, CDL testing, simulator training, and CDL upgrade programs to fit a variety of needs and budgets.

The CDL Class A Proficiency Program includes permit preparation, theory training, behind-the-wheel instruction, use of our training equipment (manual or automatic transmission), required books and materials, DOT physical exam, DOT drug test, motor vehicle record review, and one CDL skills test.

No. CNS Driver Training Center provides a clear pricing breakdown that includes tuition and required fees. Program costs include training materials, DOT-required testing, and one CDL skills test, so students know exactly what to expect before enrolling. 

Yes. Both the CDL Class A Proficiency Program and CDL Class A Hot Shot Proficiency Program include one CDL skills test as part of the program tuition.

Our Class B CDL Upgrade Package starts at $3,960 and includes online theory training, behind-the-wheel instruction, individual training sessions, equipment use, and a CDL skills test. Students must already hold a valid CDL to qualify for this program.

CDL testing starts as low as $375 when using your own equipment. The test includes the Pre-Trip Inspection, Basic Control Skills (maneuvers), and Road Skills portions required for CDL licensing.

Truck driving simulator training is available for $95 per hour and includes guidance from a qualified instructor. Simulator practice is also included with certain CDL Class A training packages.
